Your purchase.

Steading is a one time payment, not a subscription. The game master pays once. Players never pay.

Your purchase gives you a personal licence to run campaigns in Steading as a game master: every campaign, with as many players as you like, on the web, desktop and mobile.

Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, tax, invoices, returns and customer service questions about your order. Paddle's own terms for buyers are at paddle.com.

Your campaign is yours.

Everything you write and upload stays yours. You let us store it, sync it between your devices and share it with the players you invite, only so Steading can do those things for you.

You can export all of it to Markdown at any time. Your campaign also lives on your own devices, so it keeps working with no signal.

There is no AI in Steading, and your campaign is never sent to an AI.

Using it fairly.

Please don't use Steading to break the law, to share things you have no right to share, to harass anyone, or to attack, overload or get around the limits of the service.

If you do, we may close your account. If we close it for any other reason, we will tell you first and give you time to export your campaigns.

Plugins by other people.

Plugins you add yourself are made by other people, not us. Steading walls them off and asks before they get any permission, but we can't promise what they do. We decide which plugins we list, and may decline any of them.

If something goes wrong.

We work hard to keep Steading running and your campaign safe, and we keep daily backups. Still, Steading is provided as it is, and we can't promise it will never break, lose something or be offline.

As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid for Steading. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.

If we ever shut Steading down, we will tell you well ahead of time, and your campaigns stay on your devices and can be exported.

Changes and questions.

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date below, and tell you in the app about anything important.
